Tell us a bit about your role
I’m am a company director and owner of the business. My role involves managing everything from HR through to works delivery. I’m a quantity surveyor by profession so I’m always keen to jump in on projects and get my “hands dirty”.
What’s been your journey with MIMO?
MIMO is something I’ve always wanted to do. After a few years of freelance quantity surveying I quickly began to build relationships and take on more clients.
The big changing point was when I launched MIMO and made the move from a one-person business to a business that would employ staff and take on a greater workload. I’m happy to say that 18 months on we’re a team of four who undertake works across the UK.
What’s it like to work at MIMO?
In a word, relaxed.
My aim is to offer a business that has a relaxed working environment whilst also maintaining the highest professional standard.
Employees that feel comfortable and supported will be empowered to achieve. We regularly undertake group collaboration which allows each member of the team to offer input and suggestions.
Our team building events also bring us together.
What does collaborative consulting mean to you?
Collaborative consulting, to me, means we’re in it together.
I have experience of consultancies where you’re constantly chasing for answers and feel like the person on the other end of the phone doesn’t care as much as they should. This isn’t how we operate.
I want our clients to feel like we care about their work and will go the extra mile to achieve the right result. We aim to produce high quality work, on time, that meets our clients expectations. I believe this is why we’re seeing steady growth and good repeat business levels.
Outside of work, what are your interests and hobbies?
I’m a keen car enthusiast and spend large parts of my free time watching and reading anything car related.
I also like to keep fit and have recently completed my first Spartan race. Hopefully the first of many.
